This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Mighty-BOND™ Split Grounding/Bonding Bushing on threaded Rigid or Intermediate Metal Conduit.

Mighty-BOND™ Split Grounding/Bonding Bushing, Grounding or bonding conductor

  1. Open and position the bushing

    Open the Mighty-BOND™ split bushing and place it around the conductors on top of the threaded end of the RMC, IMC, or fitting.

  2. Close and align the bushing

    Close the bushing and align it to access the set screw, grounding lug, and hinge screw. Ensure the set screw is backed out sufficiently for the two halves to close fully.

  3. Tighten the screws

    Tighten the hinge screw first, then the set screw, and finally the enclosure bonding screw if applicable. Ensure all screws are tightened to UL Torque requirements (35 in lb).

  4. Insert grounding conductor
