This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Mighty-BOND™ Split Grounding/Bonding Bushing. Its unique design allows installation after conductors have been pulled through the raceway, ensuring code compliance for grounding and bonding.

Grounding or bonding conductor
- Open and Position the Bushing
Open the Mighty-Bond™ split bushing and place it around the conductors, positioning it onto the top of the threaded end of the RMC, IMC, or fitting.
- Close and Align the Bushing
Close the Mighty-Bond™ bushing and align it to access the set screw, grounding lug, and hinge screw. Ensure the set screw is sufficiently backed out to allow the two halves to close fully on the threaded conduit or fitting, and that the bushing is as far down on the threads as possible.
- Secure the Bushing
Tighten the hinge screw first, then the set screw. If applicable, tighten the enclosure bonding screw. Tighten all screws to the UL Torque requirement of 35 in-lb.
- Connect the Grounding Conductor
Insert the appropriate sized grounding or bonding conductor into the lug. Tighten the lug screw according to the UL Recommended torque table: 10-14 AWG/MCM (Copper/Aluminum) to 35 in-lb, 8 AWG/MCM to 40 in-lb, 4-6 AWG/MCM to 45 in-lb, and 2/0-3 AWG/MCM to 50 in-lb.
