Overview

The Mersen V221255 is a British Standard (BS88-4) Protistor® fuse-link designed for the ultimate protection of power semiconductors. Rated for 690VAC and 100A, this aR class fuse-link adheres to IEC 60269-1 and -4, VDE 636-23, and BS88-4 standards, ensuring worldwide acceptance. Engineered with pure silver, die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, it offers superior arcing control, resulting in a lower I²t and a high interrupting rating of 160 kA. This fuse-link is ideal for protecting diodes, thyristors, GTO's, and IGBT devices. It can be equipped with an optional low voltage trip-indicator for microswitch operation. Key specifications include a rated voltage of 690VAC, a rated current of 100A, a pre-arcing I²t of 1890 A²s, and a clearing I²t of 13000 A²s at rated voltage.
