Overview

The Mersen R632 Fuse Reducer (SKU R632) is a non-rejection type reducer designed for 250V Class R applications, enabling the use of 30A to 60A fuses within higher-rated fuse clips. This product enhances circuit protection by allowing closer fuse sizing to motor nameplate current, particularly beneficial for motor circuits where precision is critical. The R632 accommodates Class H, K, or R fuses in Class H or K fuse clips, providing flexibility for upgrades and maintenance without requiring replacement of existing fuse blocks. With a voltage rating of 250V and current rating of 30-60A, the R632 is UL Listed (Guide IZZR) and CSA Certified for Class H & K (Non-rejection) and Class R (Rejection) applications. Manufactured in the US by Mersen, a leader in electrical protection, this reducer ensures reliable performance in industrial environments. Ideal for applications requiring precise overcurrent protection, the R632 reduces the risk of damage from overload conditions while maintaining compatibility with existing infrastructure.

Specifications

AC Voltage Rating
250 V
Application
Mersen fuse reducers allow the use of lower rated fuses in existing equipment having clips with higher ampere ratings. The use of closer rated time-delay fuses can improve circuit protection. For example, renewable or one-time fuses feeding a motor can be replaced with fuses sized closer to the motor nameplate current. Non-rejection reducers will allow Class H, K or R fuses to fit Class H or K clips. Rejection-type reducers will allow only Class R fuses to fit Class R clips or only Class J fuses to fit Class J clips. Class J fuse reducers are not for bolt on applications.
