Overview

The Mersen L300482 is a Protistor® Size 31 aR high-speed fuse-link designed for semiconductor protection in AC power systems. This square body fuse-link operates at 690VAC according to IEC standards and 700VAC according to UL standards. It is rated for 800A and features UNC threaded flush ends for mounting. Engineered for ultra-fast acting performance, the L300482 provides current limiting and superior cycling capability, making it ideal for protecting sensitive semiconductor devices such as diodes, thyristors, and IGBTs. Its aR Class designation adheres to IEC 60269-4 and VDE 636-23 standards. Key features include very low I²t values for enhanced semiconductor protection. The fuse-link is constructed with die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand to control arcing and achieve a high interrupting rating. All contact surfaces are silver-plated, and hardware is non-magnetic to prevent electromagnetic interference. Applications for the Mersen L300482 include the protection of inverters, motor drives, and UPS systems operating at 690V or less. It is also recognized under UL/CSA E76491.
