Overview

Mersen GP25 plug fuse (SKU: GP25) is a fast-acting 25A fuse rated for 125VAC applications, designed for industrial and residential use. This screw-type plug fuse features a built-in visual indicator that pops out when the fuse operates, enabling quick identification of blown fuses without disassembly. The 25A rating makes it suitable for receptacle and lighting circuits, while its fast-acting response ensures rapid fault protection. Compatible with standard fuse holders, the GP25 meets UL and CSA safety standards for supplementary circuit protection. With a compact 10 x 38mm (1-1/2" x 13/32") midget fuse design, it integrates seamlessly into existing installations. The fuse operates efficiently within -40°C to +85°C environments and maintains a low watt loss of 3W or less. Ideal for non-motor loads and lighting circuits where immediate fault indication is critical. UL Listed to standard 248-14 (File E33925) and CSA Certified to Standard C22.2 No. 248, the GP25 is RoHS compliant and lead-free. Its 12-second time-delay at 200% rating ensures compatibility with transient loads while providing reliable protection.

The National Electric Code now permits Edison-base fuses to be used only for replacements in existing installations, and then, only when there is no evidence of overfusing or tampering. All new Edison-based fuseholders must have Type S fuse adapters installed before they are placed in service. Designed to prevent installation of wrong size fuses, Type S Adapters (SAO series) screw into Edison-base fuseholders so they may accept Type S fuses. Once installed the adapters cannot be removed. To prevent shunting of open fuses or overfusing, and to reduce nuisance fuse opening, it is recommended that SAO adapters with properly rated SLO or SOO series fuses be installed in all Edison-base fuseholders.
