Overview

The Mersen Sure Guard ETP (SKU: 9F59UBC232) is a current-limiting fuse designed for external transformer protection in overhead distribution systems. It is engineered to be used in series with another protective device, such as an expulsion fuse cutout or an internal transformer expulsion fuse. This series combination effectively limits high-fault currents to a safe level, ensuring protection across the complete fault current range. For conventional transformers protected by expulsion fuse cutouts, the ETP fuse can be installed directly in series with the cutout. For self-protected transformers, it can be applied on the high-voltage bushing, also in series with the internal transformer expulsion fuse. This product provides essential overcurrent protection for critical distribution infrastructure.
  • External Transformer Protection (ETP) fuse
  • Designed for overhead distribution systems
  • Used in series with expulsion fuses for complete fault current range protection
  • Limits high-fault current to a safe level
  • Suitable for conventional and self-protected transformers
