The enclosures ensure IP66/IP69 degree of protection (or IP65 for hinged cover versions) when mated and locked with closing levers. The cover alone only provides mechanical protection.

The enclosure meets EN 60529 and IEC 60529 standards. It is rated Type 4/4X/12.

The enclosure is available with aluminum cover (CS), plastic cover (CP), and lever-based configurations. Different sizes and mounting options are available.

Enclosures with pegs may be combined with CHO/CAO 24 X, CHV/CAV 24 X, MHO/MAO 24 X, and MHV/MAV 24 X enclosures.
