- Disconnect Power
Before starting the installation, ensure that all sources of power to the circuit are disconnected to eliminate the risk of electrical shock.
- Mount the Device
Secure the PF or PFQ device to the mounting surface using the provided mounting screws. Ensure that the locking cam is easily accessible and the device is level.
- Wire the Device
Connect the conductors to the terminals as per the wiring instructions. Use straight or 90° compression lugs as required, ensuring that the neutral and ground wires are positioned above the phase wires. Apply heat shrink tubing over the lugs and terminals after wiring.
- Tighten Connections
Bolt the lugs onto the terminals using the supplied M14 screws and washers. Hold the contact bodies with a suitable wrench to prevent transmitting torque to the molding while tightening.
- Install Auxiliary Contacts
Wire the auxiliary contacts according to the provided schematic. Strip the conductors by 0.5 inches (12 mm) and insert them into the respective terminals, tightening the screws until hand tight.
