- Verify power is off

Insert the cable through the wall box and cut it to the desired length. Strip the cable sheath and individual wires according to the lengths specified in Table 4.
- Connect the conductors
Back out the terminal screws on the receptacle enough to allow the conductors to pass. Insert each conductor into its respective terminal and tighten the screws to the torque specified in Table 5.
- Secure the cable
Ensure that the cable sheath extends into the strain relief and tighten the compression nut to secure the cable in place.
- Test the connection
Use a multimeter to verify that the connections are secure and that there is continuity in the ground circuit before applying power.
