Overview

Macromatic TE5412U-30-12 is a compact, DIN-rail mountable time delay relay designed for precise control of industrial processes. This on/off delay relay operates on 12V DC input and provides a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) output rated at 10A @ 250V AC. The relay features a delayed interval function where the output energizes upon trigger application, remains energized during the set delay period after trigger removal, and de-energizes at the end of the delay. Trigger pulses as short as 50ms are recognized, with any subsequent trigger resetting the delay timer. The TE5412U-30-12 offers ten selectable time ranges from 0.1 seconds to 100 hours, adjustable via rotary switch and potentiometer for flexibility across applications. LED indicators provide clear status feedback: green for control voltage presence and red for timing or relay activation. With a mechanical life of 10 million operations and electrical life of 50,000 operations, this relay delivers long-term reliability. Designed for industrial environments, the relay operates across -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F) and stores safely from -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F). Protection ratings include IP40 from the front panel and IP20 at terminals, while dielectric strength is rated at 4kV AC. Terminations accept 12-22 AWG solid or stranded wires. The unit weighs just 61g (0.13 lb) and meets UL/cUL and CE safety standards.
