Overview

The Macromatic SFP120B100 is a single-channel, plug-in pump seal failure relay designed for submersible pumps utilizing resistance sensing leakage detection. This 11-pin DPDT relay operates on 120VAC and features an adjustable sensitivity range of 4.7K to 100K ohms, allowing precise monitoring of pump seal integrity. When a seal begins to leak, contaminating fluid lowers the resistance between the probe and common connection. Upon detecting a resistance drop below the set-point, the SFP120B100 energizes its output relay and illuminates a red LED indicator, signaling a potential leak. This early detection capability is crucial for preventing costly equipment damage and unscheduled downtime. The relay automatically resets when the fault condition clears. With mechanical life rated at 10,000,000 operations and full load life at 100,000 operations, the SFP120B100 offers robust durability. It meets Low Voltage and EMC Directives EN60947-1 and EN60947-5-1. The operating temperature range is -28°C to 65°C (-18°F to 150°F) when used with an appropriate socket. The output contacts are rated for 10A @ 240V AC / 7A @ 30V DC and 1/4HP @ 120/240V AC. The load burden is 2 VA, and the probe voltage is 9V DC. Pick-up and drop-out response times are both 10ms. An optional low-profile adjustment knob is available to prevent accidental setting changes. The SFP120B100 is designed for use with industry-standard 11-pin octal sockets (Macromatic socket model 70170-D recommended). Manufactured in the USA, this relay is a reliable component for pump protection systems.
