Littelfuse TDML12DL - The TDM/TDMH/TDML Series is a delay-on-make timer that combines accurate digital circuitry with isolated, DPDT relay contacts in an industry standard 8-pin plug-in package. DIP switch adjustment allows precise selection of the time delay over the full time delay range. The TDM/TDMH/TDML Series is the product of choice for custom control panel and OEM designers. Operation (Delay-on-Make): Upon application of input voltage, the time delay begins. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output relay energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed. Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.

Overview

The Littelfuse TDML12DL is a dedicated delay-on-make timer designed for precise timing control in industrial automation and OEM applications. This unit combines accurate digital circuitry with isolated, DPDT relay contacts, housed within an industry-standard 8-pin plug-in package for easy integration and replacement. The TDML12DL offers a precise delay range of 0.1–102.3 seconds, adjustable in 0.1-second increments via DIP switches, providing fine-tuning for specific application needs. Its microcontroller-based design ensures a repeat accuracy of ±0.1% and a setting accuracy of ±2%. The timer operates on a 12V DC input voltage with a tolerance of -15% to +20%. Upon application of input voltage, the time delay begins, with the output remaining de-energized. At the end of the preset delay, the DPDT relay energizes and stays energized until input voltage is removed. Removing input voltage resets the timer. The output contacts are rated for 10A resistive at 120/240V AC and 1/3 hp at 120/240V AC, with an isolation voltage of ≥1500V RMS. An integrated LED provides visual indication of the timing status. The TDML12DL is suitable for applications such as motor control sequencing, safety interlocks, and process automation where delayed activation is critical. It is compatible with optional 8-pin octal sockets like the Littelfuse OT08PC or P1011-6 for UL listing and DIN rail mounting using accessories like the C103PM (AL).
  • Precise delay range: 0.1–102.3 seconds, adjustable in 0.1s increments via DIP switches.
  • Microcontroller-based for ±0.1% repeat accuracy and ±2% setting accuracy.
  • Isolated DPDT 10A output contacts for versatile load control.
  • 12V DC input voltage with -15% to +20% tolerance.
  • Industry-standard 8-pin plug-in package for easy installation and replacement.
