Littelfuse FS127 - The FA and FS Series Flashers have proven their reliability through years of use on communication towers, smoke stacks, cooling towers, tall buildings, bridges and utility towers. The highest quality components are encapsulated in a rugged plastic housing with a molded-in heat transfer plate. The flash rate, ratio, and failsafe design meet FAA regulations. Zero voltage switching can increase lamp life up to ten times. The FS155-30RF & FS165-30RF include superior RF filtering circuitry for use in high RF installations, including AM hot towers. Operation: FS Series - Flasher (OFF First), FA Series - Flashers & Aux. Modules: Upon application of input voltage, the T2 OFF time begins. At the end of the OFF time, the T1 ON time begins and the load energizes. At the end of T1, T2 begins and the load de-energizes. This cycle repeats until voltage is removed. Reset: Removing input voltage resets the output and the sequence to T2.

Overview

The Littelfuse FS127 (SKU: FS127) is a reliable FS Series Flasher designed for critical FAA-compliant signaling in demanding industrial and communication tower applications. Proven through years of service on communication towers, smoke stacks, cooling towers, tall buildings, bridges, and utility towers, this flasher ensures dependable operation. Its robust construction features high-quality components encapsulated within a rugged plastic housing, complete with a molded-in heat transfer plate for efficient thermal management. The FS127 meets stringent FAA regulations for flash rate and ratio, offering a precise 75 FPM flash rate with a 50-67% ON time. A key benefit is its zero voltage switching capability, which can extend lamp life by up to ten times compared to conventional flashers. The failsafe design provides an extra layer of reliability. Operationally, the FS Series initiates an OFF-first sequence: upon application of input voltage, the T2 OFF time begins, followed by the T1 ON time to energize the load. This cycle repeats until the input voltage is removed, with removing voltage resetting the sequence to T2. The FS127 operates on 120VAC with a 50/60Hz line frequency. Its output rating is 2500W at 120VAC, with a high inrush capability of 200A peak for one cycle of the AC line, suitable for incandescent beacons. Termination is via 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) male quick connect terminals. The device is surface mountable with a single #10 (M5 x 0.8) screw and requires mounting to a metal surface with included heat sink compound, ensuring the maximum mounting surface temperature does not exceed 90°C. Operating and storage temperatures range from -55°C to 65°C and -55°C to 85°C respectively, with humidity tolerance up to 95% relative, non-condensing. The compact dimensions are 50.8 mm (H) x 50.8 mm (W) x 38.4 mm (D), weighing approximately 111g.
