How to Install the SP1500KHP Transformer
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the SP1500KHP industrial control transformer.

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Mount the transformer
Secure the transformer to the mounting surface using appropriately sized mounting screws. Ensure the transformer is level and securely attached.
- Connect the voltage links
Install the voltage link kit by connecting the links to the molded terminal block as per the wiring instructions provided with the transformer.
- Wire the connections
Use 18 AWG to 14 AWG solid wire or 18 AWG to 12 AWG stranded wire for all bare wire connections. Ensure to use ring or spade connectors if the wire size is outside the recommended range.
- Torque terminal screws
Tighten all terminal screws to a torque of 12 to 14 inch-lbs to ensure secure connections.
- Install optional accessories
If using the optional Fuse Block Adapter Kit, remove the appropriate captive washer screws from the terminal block and use them to install the aftermarket fuse block onto the adapter plate.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to verify all electrical connections are secure and correctly wired before powering on the transformer.
