How to Install the HPS Imperator® Control Transformer
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the HPS Imperator® Control Transformer, ensuring proper setup for optimal performance.

Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Fuse clips, Voltage links
- Mount the transformer
Securely attach the HPS Imperator® Control Transformer to the designated mounting surface using appropriately sized mounting screws. Ensure it is level and stable.
- Install fuse clips
Remove the appropriate captive washer screw(s) from the terminal block. Install the fuse clip(s) and secure them with new terminal screw(s) provided in the kit.
- Connect voltage links
For units from 50VA to 100VA, install the voltage links between any two primary or secondary terminal bays as per the wiring instructions. For larger units, follow the specific installation instructions provided with your transformer.
- Torque terminal screws
Using a torque wrench, tighten all terminal screws to a torque setting between 12 to 14 inch-lbs to ensure secure connections.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to check all connections for continuity and proper voltage levels according to the specifications provided in the instruction sheet.
