Overview

The Hammond Power CD1X0200F1 is a three-phase, iron core dV/dT filter designed to protect motors and cables from voltage spikes and rapid voltage rise (dV/dt) generated by Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This open-style reactor features differential mode inductance, constructed with three coils on a single core. It is rated for a maximum fundamental voltage of 600VAC and a system voltage of 600V at 60Hz, with de-rating possible up to 90Hz. The filter supports a maximum VFD carrier frequency of 4kHz and is suitable for cable lengths up to 1000 feet. The winding is designed for 150% RMS overload for 60 seconds every 10 minutes. Reactors are designed, constructed, and rated in accordance with UL, CSA, and NEMA standards. It operates effectively in ambient temperatures up to 50 degrees C. Terminals are marked A1, B1, C1, A2, B2, and C2. This filter is ideal for applications such as HVAC systems, pump stations, and conveyor systems where extended cable distances are common and motor protection is critical. SKU: CD1X0200F1.
  • The dV/dT filter combines an inductor and parallel resistor network to mitigate both high frequency components and voltage spikes between the VFD and motor.
  • The filter can mitigate the effects of reflected wave voltages greater than what a reactor alone can accomplish.
  • The filter provides protection to the motor by slowing down the rate of voltage increase and minimizes the damaging peak voltages that occur within the motor’s windings and along the length of cables feeding the motor.
  • Suitable for maximum cable lengths of 1000 feet
  • Designed, constructed, and rated to UL, CSA, and NEMA standards
