These enclosures comply with UL 508A Type 12 and 13, CSA Enclosure 12 and 13, NEMA Type 12 and 13, and IEC 60529, IP54.

The enclosures are formed from 14 gauge steel, except for the 1437A and 1437MA models which are made from 16 gauge steel.

The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

They are designed to accept standard heavy-duty oil-tight pushbuttons, switches, and pilot lights, providing protection from dirt, dust, oil, and water.

A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is provided on the enclosure.

The 1437MV enclosure has dimensions of 14.00 inches in height, 10.75 inches in width, and 4.75 inches in depth.

Larger enclosures have internally hinged removable covers designed to hold the cover open during wiring. The 1437A and 1437MA models are not hinged.
