How to Install the MSLED-B MicroStat™ Status Indicator
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the MSLED-B MicroStat™ Status Indicator, ensuring proper mounting, wiring, and initial setup.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gasket
- Unpack and Inspect the Unit
Carefully unpack the MSLED-B unit and inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, do not proceed with installation and file a claim with the carrier.
- Mount the Base
Remove the colored lenses by twisting the bottom lens counter-clockwise until it unlocks. Lift the bottom lens off the base. Remove the two Phillips head #6 screws to disassemble the sleeve from the base. Mount the base onto a 3/4" NPT pipe or a flat surface using the provided gasket and screws, ensuring it is securely fastened without over-tightening.
- Make Electrical Connections
Feed the control wires through the NPT opening in the base. Connect the wires to the female terminal block plug, ensuring they correspond to the labeled terminals for each lamp position. Reconnect the terminal block plug to the printed circuit board assembly.
- Reassemble the Unit
Ensure that an O-ring is in place on each light module. Reattach the sleeve to the base using the screws removed earlier. Reassemble the colored lenses onto the base, ensuring each lens is locked in place with a clockwise twist.
- Test the Installation
Before applying power, double-check all connections and ensure that all screws are tightened. Power on the unit and test the MicroStat™ to confirm it operates as intended.
