How to Install the MSL MicroStat™ Status Indicator
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the MSL MicroStat™ Status Indicator, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gasket
- Unpack and Inspect the Equipment
Carefully unpack the MSL MicroStat™ and inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, do not install; file a claim with the carrier.
- Mount the Base
Choose a mounting method (pipe or surface). For pipe mounting, thread the MSL base onto a 3/4" NPT pipe. For surface mounting, use the included gasket/template to mark and drill holes, then secure the base with #6 screws, ensuring not to over-tighten.
- Install the Light Module and Make Electrical Connections
Remove the colored lenses and disassemble the sleeve from the base. Feed control wires through the NPT opening and connect them to the terminal block, ensuring to match the labeled terminals. Reassemble the unit, ensuring O-rings are in place.
- Test the Installation
Before powering on, double-check all connections and ensure screws are tightened. Power on the system and test the MicroStat™ to confirm it operates as intended.
