How to Install the MSL2-120AR MicroStat™ Status Indicator
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the MSL2-120AR MicroStat™ Status Indicator, ensuring proper mounting, wiring, and initial setup.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gasket
- Unpack and Inspect the Unit
Carefully unpack the MSL2-120AR unit and inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Do not proceed with installation if any damage is found.
- Mount the Base
Remove the colored lenses by twisting the bottom lens counter-clockwise until it unlocks. Lift the bottom lens off. Remove the two Phillips head #6 screws to disassemble the sleeve from the base. Mount the base onto a 3/4" NPT pipe or a flat surface using the provided gasket and screws. Ensure the base is securely attached without over-tightening.
- Make Electrical Connections
Feed the control wires through the NPT opening in the base. Connect the wires to the female terminal block plug according to the labeled terminals (1-5). Ensure power is off during this process to avoid electrical shock hazards.
- Reassemble the Unit
Reattach the sleeve to the base by sliding the printed circuit board into the channels and securing it with the screws removed earlier. Ensure that O-rings are in place for watertight sealing.
- Install Colored Lenses
Reassemble the colored lenses onto the base unit, ensuring an O-ring is placed between each lens for a watertight seal. Twist each lens clockwise until it locks into place.
- Test the Installation
Turn on the power and test the MicroStat™ to ensure it operates correctly. Verify that all lights function as intended.
