How to Install the LSWB Wall Mounting Kit
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the LSWB wall mounting kit for Federal Signal warning lights on a horizontal or vertical surface.

- Unpack and inspect the device
Carefully unpack the LSWB wall mounting kit and verify that all components are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with the installation and contact Federal Signal Customer Support.
- Mount the backbox
Using the backbox as a template, mark the location of the mounting holes on the surface. Drill the holes and securely attach the backbox using user-supplied hardware that can support the weight of the light and bracket.
- Connect the conduit
Attach the backbox to the conduit system, ensuring to leave 6 inches of supply wire inside the box for light hookup. Plug any unused entries with the supplied conduit plugs.
- Feed and secure wires
For 3/4" NPT pipe mount lights, feed the wires from the light through the provided 3/4" NPT pipe nipple and thread it into the light until secure. For 1/2" NPT pipe mount lights, thread the reducer onto the 1/2" NPT pipe nipple before feeding the wires and securing the pipe.
- Make wiring connections
Follow the instructions provided with the warning light to make the necessary wiring connections. Use the ground screw provided inside the backbox if needed.
- Attach the bracket assembly
Secure the bracket assembly to the backbox using the four supplied screws and nylon screw collars. Tighten to approximately 15 in-lb to ensure proper gasket compression.
