How to Install the LP6-120A Strobe Light
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the LP6-120A strobe light on a flat surface.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Rubber gasket, Silicone sealing compound, Grommet
- Determine mounting location
Select a flat surface for mounting the LP6-120A strobe light. Ensure the area is clean and free of debris.
- Prepare mounting holes
Use the rubber gasket as a template to mark the locations for three 0.203" mounting holes and one 0.375" wire routing hole. Drill the holes carefully, ensuring no damage to underlying components.
- Install the grommet
Insert the supplied grommet into the drilled wire routing hole to protect the wires from sharp edges.
- Route power supply leads
Pass the power supply leads (black and white for 120VAC) through the grommet and apply silicone sealing compound around the wire exit hole in the light base.
- Mount the strobe light
Secure the LP6-120A strobe light to the mounting surface using the provided #10-32 screws and nuts. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Make electrical connections
Connect the black lead to the hot side of the power source and the white lead to the neutral side. Ensure power is off during this step.
- Test the installation
Once all connections are made, turn on the power and test the strobe light to ensure it operates correctly.
- Finalize installation
After testing, ensure all screws are tightened and provide a copy of the installation instructions to the operating personnel.
