How to Install the LP6 Strobe Light
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the LP6 Strobe Light on a flat surface, ensuring proper wiring and initial setup.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Rubber gasket, Silicone sealing compound, Grommet
- Determine mounting location
Select a flat surface for mounting the LP6 Strobe Light. Ensure that the area is clean and free of debris.
- Prepare the mounting surface
Using the rubber gasket as a template, mark the locations for three mounting holes and one wire routing hole. Drill three 0.203" holes and one 0.375" hole at the marked locations.
- Install the grommet
Insert the supplied grommet into the drilled wire routing hole to protect the wires from sharp edges.
- Route the power supply leads
Pass the power supply leads (red and black for 12–48 Vdc or black and white for 120/240VAC) through the rubber gasket and the grommet. Apply silicone sealing compound around the wire exit hole.
- Mount the strobe light
Secure the LP6 Strobe Light to the mounting surface using the supplied #10-32 screws and nuts. Ensure all screws are tightened properly.
- Connect the electrical wiring
For 120/240VAC models, connect the black lead to the hot side and the white lead to the neutral side of the power source. For 12–48 Vdc models, connect the red lead to the positive terminal and the black lead to the negative terminal. Ensure power is off during this process.
- Test the installation
Once all connections are made, restore power and test the strobe light to ensure it operates correctly. Verify that all set screws are tightened.
