How to Install the AR2000-M Audio Router
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the AR2000-M Audio Router, ensuring proper setup for audio routing in various zones.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Shielded twisted pair audio cables
- Mount the AR2000-M
Secure the AR2000-M to a standard 19" rack using the provided mounting holes. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
- Connect power supply
Connect the power supply to the AR2000-M by wiring it to the appropriate terminals for either 120VAC or 240VAC. Ensure the power is off during this process to avoid electrical shock.
- Wire audio inputs and outputs
Strip 1/2" of insulation from the audio signal wires and connect them to the corresponding terminals for Channel A and Channel B inputs, as well as the zone outputs. Use shielded twisted pair cables to minimize interference.
- Configure audio settings
Set the audio output voltage on the back panel to either 1Vrms, 25Vrms, or 70Vrms depending on your speaker requirements. Adjust the gain using the AUDIO OUT VOLUME control knob.
- Test the system
After all connections are made, turn on the power and test the audio routing by activating different zones and inputs. Ensure all speakers are functioning correctly.
