The MCO 351 expands the functional properties of the frequency converter for positioning applications and can handle most positioning applications with vertical and horizontal movements.

Frequency converters contain high voltage. Installation, start-up, and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel only to avoid death or serious injury.

The MCO 351 supports TTL/RS422 incremental, SSI absolute, and Sin/Cos 1 Vpp encoders. CANopen encoders are also supported via X62.

The MCO 351 can be controlled via digital/analog inputs or via fieldbus. The control source is selected in parameter 19-04 Control Source.

The X57 terminal provides inputs for functions like touch probe switch, hardware limit switches, home switch, go to target position, and quick stop.

Relay 01 is for the mechanical brake (normally open), and Relay 02 monitors the brake status (normally closed).

After AC mains disconnection, wait the specified time in Table 2.1 (e.g., 5 minutes for 380-480V converters) before servicing to avoid electrical hazards from charged capacitors.
