The ABB SDCS-COM-82 is a versatile Fiber Optic Communication Interface Board designed to enhance connectivity and control within industrial automation systems. This module supports multiple communication channels, offering flexibility for various applications. Channel 0 operates at 5Mb with overriding system control capabilities, compatible with APC2, AC80, and Nxxx modules. Channel 1, also at 5Mb, is dedicated to DDCS I/O extension, supporting AIMA-01. For drive-to-drive communication, Channel 2 provides a 10Mb Master-Follower link. Additionally, Channel 3, operating at 10Mb, is ideal for PC tool communication, such as ABB's DriveWindow software. The board features an X19 connector for direct integration with the CDP312RD panel.
Key specifications include support for up to 12 units on the CEX bus, with transmission speeds ranging from 9.6 kbit/s to 12,000 kbit/s for some channels and 10/100 Mbit/s for others.
