Overview

The ABB RCRO-01 Relay Output Module (SKU: RCRO-01) is engineered to bridge the gap between analog drive outputs and essential relay control signals in industrial automation. This module efficiently converts analog signals from ABB low-voltage drives into reliable relay outputs, facilitating precise control and monitoring in diverse applications. Key specifications include a maximum relay switching voltage of 250 VAC or 220 VDC, with a maximum switching current of 1A. The input voltage tolerance is +/- 50 VDC, and the module operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +50°C. Environmental compliance is met with IP00 protection and UL94V-0 flammability rating, ensuring safety and suitability for various industrial settings. This module is ideal for applications requiring the conversion of drive status, such as frequency, output current, output voltage, or DC terminal voltage, into discrete relay signals. It supports the functionality of multifunctional relay terminals, offering both Normally Open (N.O.) and Normally Closed (N.C.) contacts. The module's design aligns with ABB's commitment to robust and dependable drive accessories, ensuring consistent performance in demanding industrial environments. For integration with ABB's MR Series I/O modules, the RCRO-01 is a valuable addition. While the RCRO-01 itself is an output module, it complements systems that may utilize modules like the CBO 10-P for expanded binary output capabilities or interface relays like the RA4 for specific control voltage requirements. The RCRO-01's ability to translate analog drive feedback into actionable relay outputs makes it a critical component for advanced process control, machinery automation, and system monitoring where direct analog-to-digital relay conversion is necessary. Trust ABB's expertise in low-voltage drive technology for reliable and efficient industrial control solutions.

R1 Flange Mounting Kit for the ACS550 drives allows mounting the drive with the heatsink external to a 3rd party enclosure. Use of the flange kit requires removal of the drive cover, reducing protection to IP00. R1 through R4 flange kits can be used with 3rd party UL Type 1 & 12 (NEMA 1 & 12) enclosures.

Analog I/O extension module FIO-11 has three bi-polar current (-20 to +20 mA) or bi-polar voltage (-10 to +10 V) inputs and one uni-polar current (0(4) to 20 mA) output. It also has two 24 VDC digital input/outputs (configurable either as a 50 mA source or 50 mA sink). Analog inputs are 16 bit resolution, outputs are 12 bit. Analog and digital I/O are galvanically isolated as a group, from each other and from the power supply.
