Overview
Enhance industrial drive safety with the ABB FSCS-2-Kit CIP Safety module (SKU: FSCS-2-Kit). This module, part of ABB's Low Voltage Drives portfolio, integrates seamlessly with compatible CFW500-G2 (Generation 2) drives operating at 230V and 460 VAC, enabling real-time safety communication via CIP Safety protocols. Designed for high-integrity applications, it ensures machinery compliance with stringent safety regulations such as ISO 13849-1 PLd, IEC 61508 SIL 3, and EN ISO 13850, promoting operational reliability and reducing the risk of hazardous events. The FSCS-2 module supports critical safety functions including safe torque off (STO), safe stop 1 (SS1), safe stop 2 (SS2), and safe limited speed (SLS), helping to prevent accidents and minimize downtime by protecting personnel and equipment. It is housed in a compact, DIN rail-mountable design and features dual-channel architecture for enhanced fault detection. Note that for CFW500-IP20 drives (Frame-A to E VFDs), the NEMA 1 Kit top cover cannot be used when the FSCS-2 module is installed. This module is distributed by Gross Automation.

FENA-21
The FENA 21 DualPort module supports Three protocols Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, and the PROFInet IO RT network. The Modbus-TCP protocol is simply the Modbus protocol used on top of Ethernet-TCP/IP. Modbus-TCP is an open Industrial Ethernet network which has been specified by the Modbus-IDA User Organization. EtherNet/IP is based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which is also the framework for both the ControlNet and DeviceNet network protocols. PROFInet IO RT is an open network based on the PI Organization standard.
