The ABB ZAB220M is a precision-engineered steel mounting plate with integrated rare-earth magnets, designed for secure and tool-free attachment to ferrous metal surfaces in industrial control panels, electrical enclosures, and machinery frames. Constructed from durable cold-rolled steel with embedded neodymium magnets rated for 15 kg pull force per plate, the ZAB220M eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners in applications where drilling or welding is impractical. The plate measures 3-1/2 inches (85 mm) in height, 5-3/8 inches (137 mm) in length, and 1-5/8 inches (41 mm) in width, with a 9/16-inch (14.3 mm) central mounting hole for compatibility with standard M12 hardware or DIN rail adapters. The top and bottom cage terminals accept 25/25 mm² (35/35 mm² single-slot) cables and 10/10 mm² busbars, supporting current ratings up to 125 A with IEC tightening torque of 2.8 Nm (3 Nm for 125 A models). The fail-safe bi-directional cylinder-lift terminal design prevents accidental disconnection during vibration or shock loads, while the Pozidriv #2 tool interface ensures reliable torque application.
