The ABB XJGXD44-G PVC Coated XJG Rigid Conduit Expansion Coupling with Internal Bonding Jumper is a factory-assembled combination coupling designed for 1-1/4 inch (35 metric) rigid conduit systems. This coupling integrates the XJG expansion coupling with the XD expansion/deflection coupling, providing a single solution for managing linear movement, thermal expansion, and deflection in industrial electrical installations. The malleable iron body is zinc-plated for superior corrosion resistance and coated with gray PVC for additional environmental protection. The internal bonding jumper is a tinned copper braid, eliminating the need for external grounding straps and ensuring compliance with NEC Article 250.98 and 300.4(A). The PTFE/synthetic fiber packing provides a watertight seal, meeting NEMA 4 requirements for wet locations. This coupling is UL listed to UL 514B and CSA certified to C22.2 No. 18.3, making it suitable for commercial, industrial, and utility applications. Installation is simplified with no disassembly required—slide the fitting onto the conduit, tighten the gland nut for a rain-tight seal, and thread the next conduit length into the opposite end. The XJGXD44-G accommodates up to 4 inches of conduit expansion and 3.9 inches of movement, providing flexibility in long conduit runs.
