How to Install the SPJ-3 Junction Box

  1. Prepare the installation site

    Run conduit to the desired location for the junction box, ensuring it is at least 48 inches horizontally from the inside wall of the pool and not less than 8 inches above the maximum pool water level.

  2. Mount the junction box

    Secure the junction box to the conduit using solvent welding. Ensure that the box is rigidly supported with a 3/4 inch diameter PVC rod, which must be solvent welded to the provided plug.

  3. Make electrical connections

    Place the cord into the strain-relief nesting block, align the strain-relief clamp over the cord, and insert self-tapping screws. Tighten evenly until the clamp securely holds the cord in place.

    Use the provided plugs to solvent weld all conduit openings that are not in use, ensuring a watertight seal.

  6. Attach the cover

    Apply the O-ring to the cover and mount it on the junction box base. Align the mounting holes, insert self-tapping screws, and tighten until secure.
