Overview

The ABB Snap-Loc Reducer-Spacer, SKU S287J, is a specialized component for non-metallic duct systems. Constructed from high-impact styrene, this reducer-spacer offers robust durability and resistance to wear, ensuring reliable performance in industrial applications. Designed for 2-inch duct sizes, it facilitates the reduction or spacing of conduits within duct banks. The innovative Snap-Loc design features a dovetail tongue-and-groove system for easy, interlocking assembly, allowing for side-by-side interchangeability of different spacer sizes while maintaining horizontal stability. Locking keyways are incorporated into intermediate spacers, enabling the use of a beaded strap for securing the top section of conduit, eliminating the need for costly top spacers. This reducer-spacer is compatible with other Carlon Snap-Loc spacers and accessories, such as the Rebar holder for stabilizing large duct banks. It is specifically engineered for use with non-metallic ducts, adhering to NEMA TC-2, TC-6 & 8 and ASTM F512 standards for maximum O.D. dimensions. While not UL® Listed, these spacers are suitable for concrete encasement and direct burial applications when proper engineering and backfill compaction are applied. Trust ABB Installation Products for efficient and dependable duct management solutions.
