This guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing an old RPT cover with a new RPT MOPTITE® cover, ensuring a secure and waterproof installation.

Tools needed:
Flat head screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, Utility knife
Supplies needed:
Sealant or caulk, Four #8-32 screws, Four #6-32 screws
- Remove the old RPT cover
Unscrew the four #8-32 screws to detach the old RPT cover and expose the mounting ring.
- Prepare the floor for cover installation
Ensure a 7-inch diameter opening around the center of the poke through is clear of floor material. For concrete, no preparation is needed.
- Install the mounting plate
Attach the provided mounting plate to the exposed mounting ring using the four FHMS #8-32 screws included with the new cover.
- Apply sealant to the floor
For carpet and concrete, apply a complete bead of sealant around the mounting plate, keeping it within 1/4 inch from the edge. For tile, wood, and linoleum, apply sealant around the 7-inch diameter opening.
- Install the new RPT MOPTITE® cover
Secure the new cover using the four oval head #6-32 screws provided. Clean any excess sealant from around the cover edge.
- Grout the cover if necessary
If the cover is installed on a concrete floor without a finished floor, grout the outside bottom edge of the cover to fill any gaps.
