The ABB RE52-G Urethane Coated Reducing Bushing (SKU: RE52-G) from ABB Installation Products is a precision-engineered steel fitting designed to reduce threaded conduit hubs from 1-1/2 inch (41 metric) to 3/4 inch (21 metric) pipe sizes. This reducing bushing features a durable urethane coating system consisting of a nominal 0.002" (2 mil) blue urethane interior coating and a nominal 0.040" (40 mil) PVC exterior coating bonded to electrogalvanized steel with chromate treatment. The integral bushing prevents wire damage during installation and pull-through operations. Certified for hazardous and non-hazardous locations, the RE52-G meets UL1203 and CSA C22.2 No.30 standards. It complies with NEC/CEC classifications including Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III requirements. The NPT threads feature a minimum of five full threads for secure mechanical connections. Applications include threaded heavy-wall conduit systems where size reduction is required between conduit sections. The urethane coating provides superior resistance to abrasion from material flow and external contact, corrosion from chemical exposure and environmental factors, and general wear in demanding operational settings. The dark gray finish (G) is standard, with white (W) and light blue (B) custom options available.
