Overview

The ABB RE21SA-G is a urethane-coated reducing bushing designed for transitioning conduit sizes in threaded systems. This fitting reduces a 3/4 inch (21 metric) male NPT connection to a 1/2 inch (16 metric) female NPT connection. Constructed from durable aluminum, it features a gray urethane coating for enhanced corrosion and abrasion resistance. The Ocal-Blue® coating provides a nominal 0.002-inch (2 mil) thickness on interior and exterior surfaces, bonded to a 0.040-inch (40 mil) PVC exterior coating for superior protection in harsh industrial environments. This reducing bushing is suitable for threaded heavy-wall conduit systems, plumbing, mechanical assemblies, and fluid handling applications requiring precise dimensional accuracy and leak-free performance. It is designed for use in hazardous and non-hazardous locations, meeting requirements for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G; and Class III applications. The integral bushings in both ends protect wires during installation and pulling, with a funnel-shaped interior facilitating easier wire management from larger to smaller conduit sizes. All hubs feature NPT threads with a minimum of five full threads for secure engagement.
