Overview

The ABB NPL2X21/2-G PVC Coated Conduit Nipple is a 2-inch (53 mm) pipe size nipple with a 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) length, constructed from hot-dip galvanized rigid steel. The interior has a nominal 0.002-inch (2 mil) blue urethane coating, and the exterior features a minimum 0.040-inch (40 mil) PVC coating bonded to the steel substrate. Threads are coated with blue urethane for additional corrosion protection. The dark gray PVC exterior provides visual identification and blends with industrial infrastructure. Designed for harsh environments such as chemical plants, water treatment facilities, food processing plants, and marine applications, this nipple resists moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. The PVC and urethane coatings prevent rust, chemical degradation, and mechanical wear. It meets NEMA RN 1 standards for PVC coating continuity and thickness, with coatings free of blisters, bubbles, or pinholes. Part of ABB's Ocal-Blue corrosion-resistant conduit system, it is compatible with other coated components like couplings and elbows. Standard color is dark gray; custom colors are available.
