This guide provides step-by-step instructions for safely installing and wiring the LD2P-Q fluorescent luminaire disconnect.

Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Disconnect power
Ensure the power supply to the luminaire is completely disconnected before starting the installation to prevent electrical shock.
- Verify voltage and current ratings
Check that the voltage and current ratings of the luminaire do not exceed 4A and 600V, which are the limits for the disconnect.
- Prepare the wires
Strip the insulation from the wires to a minimum length of 3/8 inches, or 13/32 inches for 12 AWG wires. If using stranded wire, straighten and group the strands uniformly.
- Insert ballast leads
Insert the black ballast lead (18 AWG solid) into the wire entry marked 'B' and the ballast neutral lead (18 AWG solid) into the entry marked 'W' on the ballast side of the disconnect.
- Connect supply line leads
Insert the supply line and neutral leads into the line side wire entries marked 'B' and 'W', ensuring they align with the corresponding ballast leads.
- Energize the circuit
Restore power to the circuit and confirm that the luminaire is functioning properly.
