Hotstick, Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
Ground lead (No. 14 copper wire or equivalent), Lubricant (supplied), Bushing(s) (not included), ELASTIMOLD insulated cap or insulated plug (if applicable)
- Prepare Grounding
Insert the ground lead into the grounding lug on the mounting hardware and tighten. Connect the other end of the lead to ground, ensuring enough slack for hotstick operation.
- Prepare Bushing Wells
Remove protective shipping caps from the bushing wells. Inspect the wells to ensure they are dry and free of contaminants. Lubricate the well interface area with the supplied lubricant. Do not substitute lubricants. If not using all operating interfaces, install an ELASTIMOLD insulated cap or insulated plug before energizing.
- Install Bushings
Install the bushings into the lubricated wells according to the bushing's specific installation instructions. Ensure protective shipping caps are removed from the feed-thru wells when in use.
- Mount the Feed-Thru Device
Attach the feed-thru eye firmly to a hotstick. Using the hotstick, slide the feed-thru onto the parking stand. Unlock the hotstick and back it off to allow space for tightening the eyebolt. Rotate the hotstick clockwise to tighten the eyebolt until snug. Do not overtighten. Release the hotstick.
