Galv-Bond™ is a finish combining 6 mils of electro-plated zinc and a gold trivalent chromium finish. It provides superior rust protection and excellent electrical conductivity.

SilverGalv™ finish applies 6 mils of zinc with a clear conversion coat. It is available for channels, small fittings, hardware, and threaded products.

Pre-Galvanized Steel is standard steel with a G90 zinc coating applied at the steel mill before channel fabrication.

Hot-Dipped Galvanized finish is not recommended for threaded products. The zinc coating thickness can often disrupt the threads.

Hot-dipped galvanized channels comply with ASTM Specifications A-123 and A-153. They maintain a minimum of 1.5 ounces of zinc per square foot of steel or 2.5 mils.

The fused-melt mixed powder PVC coating thickness is 15 mils (0.015 in) plus or minus five mils.

Field alterations like cutting or drilling disrupt the sealed PVC product, requiring field touch-up. Thomas & Betts cannot be held responsible for field-altered PVC coated products.

Standard channel is made from high-quality ASTM A570 Grade 50 carbon steel sheet. It is cold-formed to enhance mechanical properties.

Extruded Aluminum channel sections are offered for more corrosive environments. They are made from 6063 Aluminum and heat-treated to a T-6 specification.

Non-Metallic channels are available in fiberglass-reinforced polyester and vinylester. They offer high corrosion protection and are very lightweight.
