The ABB HAMS0808U is a liquid-tight fitting designed for 50mm conduit, featuring a universal gland with a straight, external male thread. Constructed from durable stainless steel with an electro-zinc chromate coating on the gland and body, this fitting ensures robust protection. It incorporates a resilient seal (A) that undergoes controlled deformation, guaranteeing a positive seal and reusability (B). The unique design centralizes the throat openings of the threaded hub and union (C), allowing for precise orientation of the fitting in any direction for a safe, functional, and neat assembly. The taper-threaded hub (D) facilitates liquid-tight assembly, while the straight pipe threads on the gland (E) accept either straight or taper-threaded hubs on the conduit or fitting. This fitting is suitable for hazardous location use per NEC Article 501 Class I, Division 2, Article 502 Class II, Division 1 & 2, and Article III Division 1 & 2. It is CSA certified (File No. 2884) and UL listed (File No. E 23018), conforming to UL 514B, CSA C22.2 No. 18, NEMA FB1, and NFPA 70-1999 standards. Ideal for applications where a high-quality bond between the fitting or pipe and the enclosure is required, especially where rotation is limited or restricted. The HAMS0808U is manufactured in the USA.
