Overview

The ABB GUAM36-TB 1-inch hazardous location conduit outlet box is a rugged, explosionproof enclosure designed for demanding industrial environments where electrical safety and durability are critical. Constructed from Grade 60-45-10 ductile iron with a zinc-plated finish and aluminum acrylic paint, this box delivers superior corrosion resistance and structural integrity in hazardous locations. The die-cast aluminum cover, equipped with an O-ring gasket, ensures a watertight seal that meets UL514A standards for wet locations when properly installed. This conduit outlet box features five full threads per hub with integral bushings for secure conduit connections, plus an internal grounding screw for reliable electrical continuity. With a 14 cubic inch internal volume, it accommodates standard 1-inch NPT conduit systems and provides ample space for wire pulling, splicing, and junction connections. The GUAM series supports applications including direction changes in rigid conduit runs, multi-conduit junctions in long runs, and mounting of fixture outlets with compatible covers. Certified for Class I, Division 1 & 2 (Groups C, D), Class II, Division 1 (Groups E, F, G), and Class III environments, this explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof box also meets NEMA 3, 4, 7 CD, and 9 EFG ratings. Its zinc-plated ductile iron body resists environmental degradation, while the natural-finish aluminum cover provides lightweight protection.
