The ABB GUAL59-W is an L-shaped conduit outlet box specifically designed for hazardous locations, offering robust protection and reliable access for wiring systems. Manufactured by ABB Installation Products, this GUA series box features a durable ductile iron body with a zinc plating, further enhanced by a dark gray PVC coating for superior corrosion resistance. The cover is constructed from die-cast aluminum, also finished with a dark gray PVC coating, and is supplied with an O-ring gasket for enhanced sealing. This configuration ensures NEMA 3 and 4X ratings when the O-ring is installed, providing protection against rain, sleet, snow, and dust ingress. The GUAL59-W is UL 1203 listed, meeting stringent requirements for explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof applications. It accommodates a 1-1/2 inch (41mm metric) conduit size and features a 5.00 inch (127.00mm) cover opening, providing ample space for wiring access, directional changes, junctions, and splices within rigid conduit systems. The internal grounding screw is standard, and all hubs offer a minimum of five full threads with integral bushings for secure conduit connections. Applications include Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III hazardous locations. The white finish on the cover provides a distinct visual identifier and a clean aesthetic.
