Overview

The ABB GUAB59-G is an L-shaped conduit outlet box designed for hazardous locations, manufactured by ABB Installation Products. This GUAB series box features a robust ductile iron body with a protective zinc plating, ensuring excellent resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage in harsh industrial environments. The cover is constructed from die-cast aluminum for a secure and reliable seal. Engineered to accommodate 1-1/2 inch (41 Metric) conduit, the GUAB59-G offers a substantial 5.00 inch (127.00 mm) cover opening, facilitating easy wiring, maintenance, and junctioning within conduit runs. It is UL 1203 listed and suitable for Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Division 1 & 2 hazardous locations. The box also meets NEMA 3, 4, 7 CD, 9 EFG ratings. Key features include an internal grounding screw and a cover supplied with an O-ring gasket for enhanced protection, achieving NEMA 3 and 4X ratings when the O-ring is installed. The box body is zinc-plated with an aluminum acrylic paint finish, and the cover is natural aluminum. This gray-finished outlet box is an ideal solution for electrical installations requiring stringent safety standards and long-term performance in explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof applications.
