Overview

The ABB GSUL2SS-240 Safe Ground Indicator ensures critical electrical safety in volatile environments by confirming proper grounding before operations. This industrial-grade device features two redundant green indicator lights that illuminate when a safe ground is established, providing visual confirmation even if one lamp fails. Designed for 240V AC operation (216-252V at 50/60Hz), it meets ANSI C84.1 standards and is certified for Class I, Division 1, Groups C, D, and Zone 1, Groups IIB, IIA hazardous locations. The unit includes intrinsically safe circuitry with a removable PCB, moisture-resistant enclosure, and a control relay for interlocked pump motor operation at loading racks. Relay contacts rated ½ HP, 10A at 240VAC support motor control applications. The cast copper-free aluminum enclosure with epoxy powder coating ensures durability in corrosive environments. Optional versions without indicator lights enable remote visual indication. Grounding clamp and cable reel sold separately. Ideal for tank farms, petrochemical facilities, grain mills, and vehicular/rail transport systems where static electricity dissipation is critical.
