Overview

The ABB FSWS62 is a robust, industrial-grade aluminum die cast device box designed for reliable protection of wiring devices, switches, electronic components, and terminal blocks. Constructed from copper-free* aluminum alloy A360 with less than 0.004% copper content, this box offers superior corrosion resistance, making it suitable for Dry, Damp, and Wet Locations when used with appropriate gasketed covers. Its die-cast construction ensures structural integrity for demanding industrial and OEM applications. The FSWS62 features a 3/4 inch top opening and is part of the FS series. Crucially, the cover mounting holes are precision tapped for 6-32 screws, ensuring compatibility with all FS and FD cover assemblies. This design facilitates a spacious and accessible wiring chamber, simplifying conductor pulling, splicing, and system maintenance or changes. The box's external hub design further enhances wiring room. It meets Federal Spec. W-C-586 and is UL Listed and CSA Certified. The standard finish is an aluminum lacquer. This enclosure is ideal for use as a junction for branch conduits and can be used with steel rigid conduit. Its clean cover edges promote good gasket sealing, and precision NPT threaded hubs allow for trouble-free field installation of rigid or IMC conduit. Clear UL, CSA, and cubic content markings are present for inspector approval. The FSWS62 is engineered for durability and performance in harsh environments, providing a secure and dependable housing for electrical components.
