The ABB FS106C Female Screw Terminal Insert (SKU: FS106C) is a vital component for C Series systems, offering reliable electrical connections. This insert features 6 contacts plus a dedicated ground terminal, designed for secure wire termination. It accommodates rigid solid/stranded wire from 1x1–2.5 mm² and 2x1–2.5 mm². For flexible wire, it supports 1x0.75–2.5 mm² and 2x0.75–2.5 mm² without ferrules, and 1x0.75–2.5 mm² and 2x0.75–1.5 mm² with insulated ferrules. UL/CSA compliance extends to 1 or 2 x AWG 18–14. The stripping length required is 10 mm. Each M3.5 screw terminal is delivered in an open position; unused screws must be tightened to ensure proper performance. A tightening torque of 1.2 Nm (11 lb·in) is recommended for secure connections. The insert provides IP20 protection according to IEC/EN 60947-1 and IEC/EN 60529, making it suitable for environments where dust and accidental contact are concerns.
