Supplies needed:
Sealant or caulk, #6-32 x 1/4” long screws
- Remove the temporary cover
Unscrew the three #6-32 x 3/4” long screws to remove the temporary cover and expose the mounting ring.
- Prepare the floor for installation
Remove or install floor material to create a 6-1/2” diameter opening around the mounting ring, using the provided template if necessary.
- Apply sealant to the floor
For carpet and concrete, apply a complete bead of sealant around the mounting ring edge. For tile, wood, and linoleum, apply a moderate amount of sealant fully surrounding the 6-1/2” diameter opening.
- Install the FFPT3 cover
Secure the FFPT3 cover using the three #6-32 x 1/4” long screws provided with the cover.
- Seat the cover firmly
Push down on the top of the cover to fully seat it against the floor. Step on the cover to ensure it is firmly in place and clean any excess sealant around the edges.
