How to Install the FBC2 Beam Clamp

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for mounting and securing the FBC2 Beam Clamp on an I-Beam.

Estimated time: 30m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Torque wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Threaded rod (3/8"-16UNC), Nut (not included)

  1. Prepare the I-Beam

Ensure that the top and bottom surfaces of the I-Beam flanges are free of dirt and debris such as oils, grease, and dust build-up.

  2. Mount the Beam Clamp

Position the Beam Clamp on the flange of the I-Beam, ensuring it is fully seated and aligned with the proper flange thickness. Refer to the provided chart for specifications.

  3. Attach the Threaded Rod

Insert a 3/8" threaded rod through the bottom hole of the Beam Clamp as indicated by the downward arrow. Turn the rod until it contacts the back portion of the Pawl, securing the clamp to the I-Beam.

  4. Secure the Assembly

Tighten the nut securely to the bottom of the Beam Clamp using a torque wrench, following the recommended torque specifications per ASTM standards.
