The ABB EYS6-B is a robust PVC double-coated conduit sealing fitting from the EYS Series, specifically engineered for hazardous locations. This fitting ensures reliable sealing to prevent the passage of gases, vapors, and flames at atmospheric pressure and normal ambient temperatures. Constructed from durable ductile iron with a nominal 0.040" (40 mil) PVC coating bonded to the exterior, the EYS6-B offers exceptional corrosion resistance and long-term performance in challenging industrial environments. It is designed for sealing in both vertical and horizontal conduit positions, providing installation flexibility. The EYS6-B features a 2-inch female hub and a turning radius of 2.31 inches (58.67 millimeters), allowing for efficient conduit routing even in confined spaces. This fitting is UL 1203 listed and meets NEC/CEC requirements for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2. It also adheres to NEMA ratings 3 and 4. For optimal performance and compliance, sealing fittings in the EYS series are approved for use with Crouse-Hinds Chico A compound and Chico X fiber.
